Having had previous working experiences I decided to continue with my studies here in The Netherlands. I worked as an employee for a financial institution for a year and seven months and knew exactly what direction I wanted to continue in, where my career was concern. Verifying this during the first 2 years of my study (International Business Management Studies) I was thrilled by the opportunity to work at ING Investment Management.
My expectation for working in such a diverse cultural environment were very high seeing that this is the opportunity where I can show case my talents and also learn from some of the best at ING IM. ING IM has given me the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the business and to embrace new challenges by stirring my further career path.
It’s been one month and half since I commenced my internship within the Talent Acquisition and Leadership Development (TA & LD) team that is part of the HR Department. I couldn’t have asked for a better start in the working field seeing that everyone in the team is extremely supportive, informative and are always helpful.
I’ve improved on some important competencies such as my communicative skills and leadership skills, taking the initiative in all my duties and supporting in the areas where I can challenge myself. During my interview for the position I applied for I told my fellow colleagues that I’m not here as a regular intern but I’m here to give that extra 10 miles being a Super Intern. I look forward in continuing my internship and gaining as much knowledge and experiences during the remaining four months and a half of my internship.
