Your main responsibilities
You will be a part of the Architecture team. The team supports the business by giving architectural guidance and direction, by delivering practical designs to projects which are still in line with the overall architectural strategy. Architecture is part of the Technology department. Technology plans, designs and delivers Technology Services to the business, aligning with the business change agenda and operational requirements. The department consists of 60+ professionals and is next to the Architecture team divided over the following other teams: Various Business Technology Management teams, Service Desk, Common Services, Application Service Delivery, Infrastructure Service Delivery and Service Control Management.
Your experience and skills
• Responsible for creating and maintaining a strategic to-be architecture, roadmaps and landscape view for the ING IM’s technical infrastructure focussed on the whole user environment (desktops, Wifi, collaboration tools, OS, e-mail solutions, AD etc.)
• Responsible for creating and maintaining ING IM’s technical infrastructure principles, standards & guidelines
• Advises, promotes and maintain application architecture design criteria. Advises IT managers on application development, maintenance and support processes. Provide initial guidance for small and medium sized projects.
• Review solutions that are proposed by the Solution architects
• Communicate the strategic to-be architecture and roadmaps to the other architects and stakeholders
• Member of the architecture board (by invitation)
• Has a vision on how to create and maintain state of the art data centres
Your competencies
• Over seven years of experience with infrastructure architectures at least within the financial services industry and preferably within Investment Management
• Work and thinking level combined with strong analytical capabilities
• A strategic and tactical vision concerning technical infrastructure and knowledge of its current state.
• Knowledge of market practices/standards, suppliers and providers and their vision on technical infrastructure
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks (TOGAF is a plus)
• Good knowledge of both the English and Dutch language
